*ヴァイオリニスト・ヴァイオリン教育者*

東京都出身。6歳よりヴァイオリンを始め、国立音楽大学附属中学校・高等学校を経て、チェコ共和国へ留学。* プラハ音楽院、プラハ芸術アカデミーにて、チェコの豊かな音楽文化の中で研鑽を積む。
*プラハではソロ演奏のみならず室内楽にも積極的に取り組み、数々の演奏会に出演。チェコの著名なヴァイオリ ン教授 *ダナ・ヴラホヴァー（Dana Vlachová）*イヴァン・シュトラウス（Ivan Strus)ら、第一線で活躍する 音楽家から直接学び、*音楽を「演奏する技術」だけでなく、音楽そのものを深く理解し表現する力*を培った。
その後、活動の場をアメリカへ広げ、さらにオーストラリアへ移住。国際的な音楽環境の中で演奏活動を続け、 *Australian Concerto & Vocal Competition 第2位*を受賞するなど、演奏家として高い評価を受ける。
室内楽奏者としても幅広く活動し、*Birrarung Trio*のメンバーとして日本でのコンサートツアーに参加。異な る文化と音楽的背景を持つ音楽家との共演を重ね、国境を越えて音楽を共有する活動を続けてきた。
現在はメルボルンを拠点に、*演奏家としての活動と、次世代の音楽家を育てる教育者としての活動*を両軸に活 躍している。
長年にわたり *Suzuki Method* に基づく幼少期からのヴァイオリン教育に携わり、これまでに多くの若いヴァ イオリニストを国際コンクールやオーディション、音楽奨学金へと導いてきた。生徒たちは数々の*国際音楽コ ンクールでの受賞*を果たし、また *AMEB AMusA、LMusA* などの上位資格取得でも成果を上げている。さらに、 ヴィクトリア州の私立学校への音楽奨学金獲得を目指す多くの若いヴァイオリニストを支援してきた。
指導において大切にしているのは、*確かな基礎技術、美しい音色、豊かな音楽表現、そして自ら音楽を愛し、 自信を持って楽しむ心を育てること。*
Suzuki Methodの理念を軸に、一人ひとりの個性と可能性を見つめながら、音楽が生涯にわたって心を豊かにす る存在となることを目指している。

*Violinist , Violin Educator*

Tokyo-born violinist and educator Rumiko Saka began studying the violin at the age of six. After graduating from Kunitachi College of Music,founded as the Tokyo Conservatory of Music, she continued her musical studies in Europe at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, developing her artistry within the rich tradition of Czech violin performance. During her years in Prague, Rumiko was actively engaged in both solo and chamber music performances while studying violin performance with Violin pedagogues *Dana Vlachová* and *Ivan Straus*. Under their guidance, she developed a strong technical foundation and refined her musical expression to a high professional standard. Her studies and performance experiences within the rich Czech musical tradition provided invaluable opportunities for artistic growth, ensemble collaboration, and a deep understanding of the European classical repertoire.
Following her European studies, Rumiko further expanded her musical experience in the United States before establishing her professional career in Australia. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician and was awarded *Second Prize in the Australian Concerto & Vocal Competition* in Townsville Australia.
Throughout her musical journey, she has also had the privilege of learning from and being influenced by respected musicians and pedagogues, including Masayuki Kino, Chikashi Tanaka, *Miwako Abe, Akira Morioka, Carlo Contarini, Naomi Murao and Ikuyo Nakamura*. Their diverse musical perspectives and expertise have contributed significantly to her artistic development and continue to influence her approach to violin performance and teaching.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Rumiko continues her dual career as a violin educator and chamber musician. She has toured Japan with the Birrarung Trio and performed with numerous professional orchestras, including the Super World Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Lorin Maazel. Her performances and appearances have included the Prague Spring International Music Festival and the Japan Festival, as well as broadcasts on 3MBS, ABC Classic, and 3ZZZ, Movies TV.

Her teaching philosophy and nurturing of young musicians are deeply rooted in the Suzuki approach. Her students have received prizes and recognition at numerous international competitions and auditions. She has also supported and guided many young violinists in successfully gaining music scholarships and entry to leading independent schools in Victoria.
Her deep love for the violin and strong belief in the Suzuki philosophy inspire her to help every student discover the joy of music and develop a lifelong love and appreciation for playing the violin.
